OVERVIEW

Our story began in 1957 when brothers-in-law Clyde Springer and James L. Watson acquired Armstrong using a small loan from a friend. At that time, the company had two employees and two trucks. As a result of a relentless pursuit of quality and a lot of hard work, Armstrong Relocation expanded from that first location in Memphis to a total of 22 locations in 13 states with more to come.

Today, Armstrong employs over 1,025 full-time employees and owner-operators, dispatches nearly 500 trucks, and operates over 1,200,000 square feet of warehouse space. Armstrong is one of the largest hauling and booking agents for
United Van Lines. Out of nearly 500 agencies across the country, we are continually recognized annually for our performance and remain a leader in the industry in terms of both volume and service quality. Through our offices nationwide, we handle over 20,000 domestic and international relocations a year. Effective leadership, strategic planning and consistent execution of proven service processes have resulted in decades of growth. These successes provide the foundation for future expansion of the Armstrong family of companies.
